Community Bible Church Aurora, The Campus, respects the privacy of visitors to its websites, www.the-campus.ca and www.cbcawana.ca .  Personal information may be collected, used, and disclosed by The Campus in accordance with this privacy statement, is based on The Campus Privacy Statement and adheres to the CSA 10-ten Privacy Principles.  In The Campus’s Privacy Statement personal information is defined as that which can be used to associate or identify a specific individual and may include name, home address, telephone number, cell phone and email address, credit card and banking data, health card and social insurance numbers.   Information that is available through the public domain such as that printed on a business card is not considered to be personal information and may include position or job title and business address, telephone, cell, fax and email address.

Individuals may visit www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca  without disclosing or revealing personal information.  The Campus only collects personal information about members, adherents and visitors when informed consent is provided and the purposes for use have been explained, this would include registering for services or programs via the website or completing online surveys.  By completing online electronic forms and surveys individuals are providing consent to The Campus to collect, use, and disclose the personal information they enter.

Collection and use of Personal Information:

Individuals who register for The Campus services and programs through the www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca websites need to provide certain personal information in order that The Campus can register them for the programs they have selected or provide the service they have requested.

The online registration process will require name and other contact information such as address, phone number and email address.  Individuals may also be asked to select and enter a Userid and Password to access selected www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca services in the future.

From time to time The Campus will use transaction history to generate statistics on usage and performance reports for use internally within The Campus.  This is done to enable The Campus to improve service, eliminate unused pages and features and determine if additional features and innovation are necessary.

www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca may have a number of locations where members, adherents and visitors may provide personal information that that will allow The Campus to enhance the services provided.  This may include, but is not limited to: a) managing personal information within an individual profile, b) provide information and feedback on The Campus on programs, c) request pastoral counselling, d) ask for theological or biblical interpretation and d) suggest changes to existing programs or new programs which may be introduced after consultation with the Pastoral and Administrative Staff or Board, as appropriate.

Where applicable, the Identified Purpose is displayed to explicitly explain which personal information is being collected and how it will be used and disclosed.

Collection of information that does not identify the Individual:

Upon entering www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca websites some technical information will be logged for every session.  This may include a) the individual’s internet address, b) the address of the ISP providing the client access to The Campus sites, c) the duration of the session, d) the specific pages visited, e) the operating system and web browser software each visitor uses, f) if the connection was made through a specific search engine h) the keywords used to find The Campus’s websites.

These technical logs do not, and will not, contain any personal information and are available only to The Campus’s technical staff or service providers.  The log information is used for the sole purpose of tracking each session in order to improve navigation and performance.  Technical data is never tied back to a specific individual; however this may be necessary should The Campus encounter security problems.

Temporary cookies will be employed for each session.  The cookie is placed on the individuals PC, through the browser, to enhance the use of the site and the performance of the session, providing a unique identifier as the individual navigates from page to page.  Upon termination of the session, the cookie is destroyed.

Cookies are never used to redirect member, adherent or visitor session to servers outside the purview of Community Bible Church Aurora.

Disclosure and Retention of Personal Information

Individual who provide personal information through www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca are assured that The Campus will not disclose this data to any 3rd-party and will manage the integrity of the data in keeping with the Canadian Standards Association, CSA, Principles 1, 2, 3 and 5.

Clients who register and use The Campus online services have their account and personal information stored and secured in a database under the control of Community Bible Church Aurora.

In the event that an account is no longer required, or the client wishes to terminate the relationship with The Campus and www.the-campus.ca or www.cbcawana.ca , it is the members, adherent and visitors  responsibility to advise the The Campus Privacy Officer of their decision to cancel the services and programs assigned to the specific profile.

Accuracy of Your Information

The Campus makes every best business effort to ensure that the information it collects and stores is accurate, however it is ultimately the responsibility of the member, adherent or visitor to validate the information and notify The Campus if data is inaccurate and requires modification.  This is necessary to ensure that The Campus can continue to use accurate data to provide meaningful services to its members, adherents and visitors.

Data transmission security:

Where appropriate, The Campus provides a secure online environment by which the transmission of personal information such as usernames and passwords occurs in an encrypted manner.  The Campus uses proven, internationally recognised security methodologies and encryption protocols.
